Toyota unveiled the new Sienta compact MPV in Japan today. Based on the popular Vitz subcompact the Sienta is a 3-row, 7-seat mini minivan.
The name, Sienta was derived from the Spanish 7 (siete) and the English “entertain”. — Vitz subcompact platform.
Powered a newly developed 1.5-liter petrol engine capable of either 81 kW (110 bhp) @ 6000 rpm (2WD version) or 77 kW (105 bhp) @ 6000 rpm (4WD version) the new Sienta comes equipped CVT transmission, Electronic Brake Force distribution and a highly flexible interior. — Toyota Wish MPV.
With rear siding doors it is easy to get inside the 2nd and the 3rd row of seats which are easily reconfigurable. — Alphard and Estima minivan lineup.
Monthly production target is 7000 units.
