Info: In January 1999, Toyota introduced the brand-new Vitz compact car. It is built and sold in Europe under the name of Yaris. It is powered by a 1.0-liter engine which is made by Daihatsu Motor, and has class-topping fuel economy, and a roomy interior. The Vitz comes with ABS, dual SRS airbags, seat belts with whiplash injury-lessening concepts, and front seat belts with pretensioners and force limiters. It comes in 3-door and 5-door versions. In Japan, a 1.5-liter engine Vitz RS, an upgraded model, is available.
