Trident Sportscars Ltd launched its Iceni sportscar in 1999. As part of the development process the company has rebranded itself and will be known as Broadley performance vehicles plc. — Bentley launches Mulliner.

After a great deal of consideration, and having heard a number of trade opinions on the matter, Trident Sportscars Limited will shortly be relaunched to the public as Broadley Performance Vehicles plc trading as Broadley Cars, with the Iceni becoming a numbered variant e.g. Broadley One thirty-seven (model One, power output 370 bhp). The name change signifies a new era for the car, reflecting Eric Broadley’s considerable input to its design, and perhaps more importantly, allows us to demonstrate a pedigree for the company through Eric’s peerless reputation in the racing car industry. The name change will further differentiate ourselves within the UK’s increasingly prolific specialist sports car market and identify us as company with acknowledged expertise in sports car design. — industry developments from October 2007.
