Intro: In 2001, Honda marked the 22nd anniversary of assembling products in America. Honda of America Manufacturing started motorcycle production in 1979 with just 64 employees and now has eight major plants in the United States with more than 13000 associates.
The latest addition is a $440 million plant in Alabama, which is Honda's first auto plant in the world to assemble both vehicles and engines under a single roof.
