Delivering further evidence of its commitment to create products that inspire passion, General Motors is introducing two new high-performance SS models for its Chevrolet brand at the 2003 Chicago Auto Show. Impala SS, the name that began Chevrolet’s legendary SS bloodline, will be a fun-to-drive sport sedan that builds on Chevrolet’s heritage of building attainable performance vehicles for enthusiasts. Monte Carlo Supercharged SS takes performance to a level appropriate for the winningest nameplate in NASCAR Winston Cup history. Both Impala SS and Monte Carlo Supercharged SS feature a supercharged, 240-horsepower V-6 along with beefed-up suspensions, high-performance speed-rated tires, 17-inch diamond-cut cast aluminum wheels and unique styling cues. — sustainability concepts at Tokyo Show.
