Polish press reports featured new details on Fiat's forthcoming new minicar.
According to Polish press the name of the car will be Fiat Small.
Gianni Coda, who is Business Director of the Fiat, Lancia, LCV division in Fiat Spa already assigned production to the Tichy plant in Poland.
Pilot production is scheduled to start in January, 2003 while mass production will start in May.
Capacity is scheduled to be 70000 cars in 2003, 200000 in 2004 (160000 of them are planned for export). By 2005 when all variants are released (3-door, 5-door, van and 4wd) 240000 units are planned.
Seicento production will continue unabated in the foreseeable future.
