Intro: The State operated Mengcheng General Machinery Works, the forerunner to Anchi started mini-van production in 1987 (ckd Suzuki Carry). The production of the Chinese version of the Korean Daewoo Tico started in 1995, as Anchi MC 6330. In 2001 it was joined by the Chinese version of the Daewoo Matiz, called the Anchi MC 6350.
After Anchi Car Group had undergone significant changes of shareholders and management in 2002, Canton Keen Lloyd Holdings became the majority shareholder. After the restructuring, the original name of Anchi Car limited has changed its name to Anhui Anchi Car Industrial Limited.
The plant has a capacity to produce up to 50,000 cars. The area of the factory premises covers 150,000 square meters with a staff of 3,000. |
