Intro: Formed by husband and wife team, Mark and Isabel Fisher, in 1991, the UK's Fisher Sporstcars was originally a southern agent for Sylva Autokits. The company then bought the production rights for the Fury from Sylva in 1993 and hasn't looked back since. Large orders for Japan and several other European countries boosted sales in the mid Nineties but today the company concentrates heavily on the home market, producing around 50 units each year from its small 1500sq/ft industrial unit. Fisher was one of the first UK kit car companies to embrace the current trend for installing bike engines in road cars.
For years Martin Bell has helped the business, but due to his illness the company was sold in March, 2007 to BGH Geartech Ltd. |
