Intro: Although the origins of the Lion Group, a private enterprise go back to the 1930s it was only 50 years later that the company which held the franchise for Suzuki vans and off-roaders were bought and its name was changed to Lion Suzuki Motor Sdn Bhd.
In addition to distributing the Suzuki cars and motorcycles some of them are assembled locally. Lion also helped establishing a plant in China.
Name of Lion Suzuki Motor Sdn Bhd was changed to Lion Motor Sdn Bhd, and the Suzuki franchise went to DRB-Hicom in January, 2005. |
