The first Ford Fiesta produced by the Chang’an-Ford Automobile Co. rolled off the assembly line on 18 January. — Ford Fiesta sedan.
The company which was established in 2001 as a joint venture between Chang’an Automobile Corp. and Ford Motor Co is set to produce 50,000 cars a year when capacity gets to full swing in 2004. This year 20000 cars are expected to be sold. — Ford Ikon platform.
The Chinese Fiesta is based on the Ford Ikon and it is available either with a 1.3 or a 1.6-liter engine. — Car of the Year award winner.
