Chery, an aspiring Chinese carmaker introduced its new Tiggo off-roader last week.
Tiggo (Tiger), which was previously known as the T11 is a self-developed SUV with Toyota RAV4 overtones. According to a company press release Lotus and the Japanese MAE Corporation helped development. — FAW Group's latest vehicles at Auto China 2006.
Tiggo sits on a 2510 mm long platform, is 4285 mm long, 1765 mm wide, 1715 mm tall. It is powered by a Shenyang Mitsubishi 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, capable of 95 kW @ 5500 rpm and 201 Nm @ 2500 – 3000 rpm. — Mitsubishi's production expansion in China.
Safety equipment includes ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, 16″ alloy wheels, 235/60R16 tires, manual defroster, electronically adjustable driver’s seat, metal paint, 6 CD autochanger. — SAIC's new Roewe brand launch.
Domestic sales will start in June, while export will commence later this year.
