From this day on FAW Group will display 30 new concept and produced vehicles and 4 advanced engines at the 9th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (also known as the Auto China 2006). Highlights include:
Hongqi HQ3
The Hongqi HQ3 incorporates the latest high-end features including an HUD-equipped night vision system, adaptive front lighting system (AFS), electronic speed-sensing progressive variable ratio steering, electronic parking assistance, and DVD navigation system with backup camera. The car¡¯s long list of safety features include an eight airbag safety restraint system (SRS) featuring knee and side curtain airbags, radar-equipped pre-collision system, and steel-reinforced structure with energy-absorbing front and rear crumple zones combined with side-impact door beams. The Hongqi HQ3¡¯s standard 170 kW 3.0 liter and available 206 kW 4.3 liter powerplants both feature double overhead cam (DOHC) design and variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i). The advanced VVT-i system continuously monitors the engine¡¯s speed and load, always delivering optimum power in every situation. The 6-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission features electronically controlled intelligence with wide-range, close-set gear ratios for greater acceleration, fuel efficiency and virtually seamless shifting. — Geely's participation at Auto Beijing 2006.
