Intro: Yngve Nilsson had a craftsman family background so it is no wonder he left home at the age of 14 to learn coach-making in Southern Sweden.
He established his own workshop in 1945 and later on became a partner of Volvo. They built the first ambulances on Volvo chassis.
During the 1960s they built various hearses and from the 1970s stretched Volvo limos.
In 1987 the humber of employees increased significantly, from 35 to 72.
Today the facilities in Laholm employ around 100 people and the covered area has increaesed to 10,000 sqm. Nilssen today is the official coach-maker of Volvo. |
