Intro: Dooster Hotrods was formed in 1999 by long-time rod enthusiast Gary Janes. He'd already been buying and selling unfinished hotrod projects and setting up Dooster was a natural progression. Based firmly at the budget end of the market, Dooster offers one chassis design (with a mix of Sierra and Cortina donor components) onto which a number of fibreglass hot rod designs can be bolted. In the last two years some 48 kits have been sold with a forecast for 30 cars in 2002. Exports are already playing a part, with five cars heading for Europe. The company operates from a 3000sq/ft unit with three full-time staff. |
