Intro: Former state-owned truck company which first struck an international deal in 1984 when they made a technical transfer agreement with Isuzu. Then in 1995 Ford bought a 20 per cent stake in the company. It is now producing the Transit for local markets. Jiangling Motors has 19 subsidiaries, including Landwind off-roader and other pick-up trucks.
In July, 2005 Chongqing Chang'an Automobile Co., Ltd received permission to take control over Jiangling Motors. |
