Intro: General Motors del Ecuador is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors Corporation and is responsible for commercial activities in Ecuador.
It was originally Aymesa (Autos y M’quinas del Equador S.A.) which started the ball rolling in the 1970s. But GM cancelled the contract in the late 1990s. Currently the former Omnibus Transportes S.A. company in Quito which has been in operation since 1981 is handling assembly operations. |
