Intro: General Motors Egypt (GM-Egypt) is an Egyptian joint stock company established under the Egyptian Investment Law. The company assembles and manufactures light and medium duty trucks, buses, passenger cars, and sport utility vehicles. Production operation started in July 27th 1985.
The General Motors Egypt factory is located in 6th of October City, 45 km west of Cairo. The premises occupy an area of 1,200 m2. More than 750 people are currently employed. The factory assembles light and medium duty trucks, buses, passenger cars and sport utility vehicles for Opel, Chevrolet and Isuzu brands. |
