Intro: An engineer by trade, Howard Brooker formed Metaline in 1979 and since then he's been churning out his distinctive Cobra replica and the heady rate of around two cars a year! Of these, over 50% are factory built examples while the rest are home-builds. Not surprisingly, the company's income is supplemented by other specialist automotive engineering work and Metaline currently operates from a sizeable 4000sq/ft premises. In describing his product, one American customer commented that it was "handcrafted with a whole bunch of TLC" and Metaline's watchword is most definitely attention to detail. |
