Intro: Joint venture between the Chongqing Chang'an Automobile Company and Ford which was set up in 2001. Production of the Fiesta saloon commenced in early 2003. In April 2003 at the Shanghai Auto Show it was announced that the Mondeo will also be put into production. A 3rd model, a compact SUV will join later on.
18535 Fiestas were produced in 2003 and a few thousand SKD Mondeos assembled. In 2004 assembly of the Mondeo switched to CKD method. |
