Intro: Hanjiang was set up by Shaanxi Aircraft Industry (Group) which is part of the state-controlled China Aviation Industry Corporation II, a huge industrial conglomerate, possessing two other automobile manufacturers: Changhe and Hafei.
Shaanxi Hanjiang produced its first motorized vehicle back in 1985, a small pick-up. The first minicar was introduced in 1994. Today the company has a capacity of 50000 cars per year and employs over 1100 people. It is now ISO9002 qualified.
In Spring, 2005 the company was taken over by Zhejiang Gonow, a private pickup truck and SUV manufacturer. |
