Intro: Established in 1976, the company is owned by Indomobil and since 1990 it has a dedicated factory in Tambun, Bekasi.
The production capacity of the Suzuki automobile factory reaches 100,000 units and includes the commercial vehicles like Futura Real Van, Carry, Katana. Others classified as auxiliary utility vehicles are Escudo, Sidekick and passenger car Baleno. Supported by new equipment and more than 2,000 skilled workers of which 500 were trained in Japan, this factory produces products of the highest standards.
In November, 2002 Suzuki Motor Corporation increased their stake in this company to 90 per cent.
In August, 2004 production of the APV (all-purpose vehicle) started, with exports launched in April, 2005. |
