Intro: A joint venture between AvtoVAZ and the Egyiptian Amal Foreign Trade Co, Lada Egypt was established in 2000. The first VAZ 2107 was assembled in July, 2002 at the local Suzuki plant, on behalf of Lada Egypt.
The company plans to set up its own plant by 2006 with a capacity of 5,000 units on a single-shift basis.
