First the Pride was assembled in tiny volumes, but in December, 2002 the new Qianlima or Tian Li Ma (essentially a previous generation Hyundai Pony/Excel) was introduced. Production of the Pride was stopped in December, 2003. In 2003 6500 Pride and 45517 Qianlima were produced.
In 2004 the Qianlima became chart leader in the compact category, selling about 7000 units monthly. |
