Intro: In 1984, the Tianjin Automobile Industry Corp. started assembling the Daihatsu 850 Cab/Cabvan. Production took place at the Tianjin Minibus Works. In 1988 the Daihatsu Charade was added to the production lines. Later the Charade (Xiali) production was moved to another factory, while minivans and minibuses (Huali) were produced by a new company: the Tianjin Huali Motor Co. Ltd. In 2001 the Daihatsu Move was added to the portfolio. When FAW absorbed Tianjin Automotive Xiali in 2002 Tianjin Huali was also part of the deal. |
