Intro: The Liuzhou Auto Works produced the Liujiang 130 2 ½ ton truck in 1969. In 1980 the company became part of the Dong Feng Group. Since then various commercial vehicles are being produced. In 2001 a licence agreement was struck with Mitsubishi in Japan and the Delica Space Gear minibus went into local production at the end of 2001 after an investment of USD 33,8 million. Initially 20,000 MPVs were planned to be produced in 2002 but only about 3000 were completed. Plans call for more than 10000 units in 2003.
