Intro: Germany's answer to the Rolls-Royce, Maybach was a pre-war luxury carmaker in Germany. The brand name is now owned by Mercedes-Benz and after a long gestation period the car was finally unveiled in 2002.
The number of orders for the vehicle rose to more than 1,000 units by the end of 2002. This figure covers around one year’s production capacity in the Maybach manufacturing facility at the DaimlerChrysler plant in Sindelfingen. Deliveries started at the end of 2002.
In 2003 702 Maybach cars were completed. |
