Intro: Needham Engineering launched the Shelsley 2T, named after a British hill-climb course, in 2000 although it's taken a couple of years to really get everything in place for convincing low-volume production. To date just five cars have been sold and the business is run as a sideline to MD, Peter Needham's everyday work. There's some serious motorsport experience behind this project, Needham successfully campaigning a V8-engined Westfield before the UK manufacturer had even begun to offer such as thing. Several single-seater hill-climb machines have preceded the introduction of the new car. |
