Intro: Established in December, 1993 by the Polish Tarpan van factory (74,6 per cent) and the German VW company (25,4 per cent). In 1996 Volkswagen became the sole owner of the plant which so far has produced the Skoda Felicia, Fabia and Octavia models for the local market and the VW Transporter van for export.
It has an additional alloy foundry for engine components. Today 2650 workers are employed.
In October, 2002 Skoda assembly has been stopped and from May 2003 the new generation T5 entered into production. The new Caddy which debuted during Fall, 2003 joined the line-up in December, 2003 |
