Intro: Bavarian Auto Trading obtained the necessary rights for assembly, import, distribution and after-sales support of BMW cars in March, 2003. The company set up a new assembly plant which was opened in 2004 with a capacity of 10,000 units on one-shift basis.
Bavarian Auto also made a deal with China Brilliance on the local assembly of Zhonghua sedans in April, 2005. Assembly work commenced in the spring of 2006.
In July, 2006 a separate deal agreement was signed with Mahindra&Mahindra; on creating an assembly plant for the Indian manufacturers' SUV models, the Scorpio and Bolero. |
