Intro: Egyptian state car manufacturer, El-Nasr, has been producing Sahin and Dogan cars in cooperation with Tofas since 1991. As of 2003 only the Sahin is being assembled. Tofas ships many of the parts, produced in Turkey, to Egypt where they are assembled into cars. Forty percent of the components are locally manufactured.
From 2003 the Yugo Florida is also being assembled.
In 2006 a batch of Fiat 128-derived Zastava models were sent to El Nasr. |
