Intro: PT Ismac Nissan Manufacturing started assembly operations in 1997. It produced about 6,000 units of Nissan vehicles in 1997 before Asian crisis, and about 1,000 units in 2000. In May, 2001 Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced that it has reached agreement to increase its investment stake in its partners, PT Ismac Nissan Manufacturing (INM). Nissan has increased its holding in the company from 35% to 75% and changed INM's name to Nissan Motor Indonesia (NMI) joining the sales, marketing and manufacturing units together. |
