Intro: General Motors and Toyota Motor Corporation set up a joint venture in 1983. The new company, aptly named New United Motor Manufacturing first produced the Chevrolet Prizm, a rebadged version of the Toyota Corolla from 1986.
Today the Prizm, the Corolla, the Tacoma pick-up truck and the Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Voltz is being manufactured at the 211 acres facility which has an annual production capacity of 400,000 vehicles.
