Intro: The fact that McLaren used two Ultimas to test its BMW engine, transaxle and other components prior to launching the F1 in the early 1990s gives some indication of the high regard in which this small UK component car manufacturer is held. Today, Ultima Sports offers two models, the Ultima GTR and Can-Am roadster - both available either in turnkey or component form. Annual production runs at around 75 units of which 10% are turnkey cars. Home built cars can be completed from £25,000GBP while factory finished examples are available from £45,000GBP. Exports are actively encouraged, with cars already in Japan, Australia, South Africa and, especially, the States. |
