Intro: Technology transfer from racing to street tuning is the specialty of the Hohenester GmbH, which was established back in 1981.
The company, which is based in Gamersheim close to Ingolstadt, is successful in touring car racing and customizing cars from Audi and VW. On the company’s own test bench there are developed performance kits for everyday use.
For the professional set up of the Hohenester sports suspension they don’t only relay on their huge knowhow from motor racing but also on shock absorber test stations for vibration measurements on the car and a standardized damper test for the manufacturing and adjustment of shock absorbers.
Racing also acted as the model for the development of the Hohenester tuning programme for the Audi TT.
Beside performance tuning they mostly paid attention to optimizing the car’s aerodynamics and suspension. |
