Intro: A Cobra replica manufacturer with a difference. Gardner Douglas Sportscars has carved a niche for itself as a manufacturer with engineering excellence uppermost in its mind. Launching its own fake snake in 1990, the company instantly went its own way, with a distinctive backbone chassis design and unique semi-monocoque fibreglass body. Hard-fought race success has backed up the company's claims and more recently the GD427 has been joined by two new models, the GD T70 and GD MSE. Gardner Douglas currently manufactures around thirty GD427s each year alongside a handful of turnkey cars at its 5000sq/ft unit. Production expected to rise as other models gain momentum |
