Intro: The first Scamp was built in 1969, a clone of the Mini Moke recreational vehicle.
Andrew MacLean long-time Scamp admirer took over the company in 1987 and updated the Mini-based hobbycar. In 1996 the Mini running gear was ditched in favor of a Suzuki 4x4 floorpan.
With the introduction of the Rowfant in 2000 the Scamp theme took a new twist as the car looked like a cross between an antique tractor and a beach buggy. |
