Intro: Morgan Motor Company, long-time manufacturer of hand-made roadsters have produced and delivered 450 traditional cars and 200 Aero 8s during the 12 months to September 2002, a result stemming from recent major investments at its Pickersleigh Road factory in Malvern and the start of full production on the Aero 8 model in August 2001.
Also they now guarantee delivery of any of their models within 12 months of order. This is big news indeed from a company which relies on a small but elite group of faithful buyers.
Morgan has been around since the early 1910s when H.F.S. Morgan built his first three-wheeler. The first four-wheeler was completed in the 1930s, but it was only during the 1950s that production of these 2-door 4-wheel sportscars began at its earnest. Interestingly the design has survived many decades intact until the arrival of the Aero 8, the first 21st century Morgan. |
