Intro: Formed in 1990 by Ginetta founders, Ivor Walklett and his late brother Trevers, Dare (UK) comes ready packed with an impressive heritage. The new company launched its first production car at the 1998 Birmingham Motor Show - the mid-engined DZ 2-seater sports car - but prior to that it had been its older Ginetta links that kept the company occupied. Today the company continues its Ginetta links, building around 50 Ginetta G4s and 10 G12s every year, originally for the Japanese market and now for both the UK and USA. The company operates from 15,000sq/ft premises, employing 20 staff to assemble cars and deal with UK kit sales of its newest component car, the TGS. |
