Intro: Engineering and Design - the name of the company perfectly reflects its activities. Established in 1969 EDAG is now one of the biggest automotive consultant around with locations all over the world, like France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Hungary, India, Malaysia, Australia, the United States, Brazil and even South-West Africa. These sites have been carefully selected: here's one at Wolfsburg so as to be close to Volkswagen; another Spartanburg, South Carolina, next door to BMW, and so on.
Among other developments EDAG helped Daimler-Benz (as it was called back then) to design the bodywork for the smart microcar and also assisted to Chrysler in the set up of the recently sold Eurostar plant.
Besides EDAG also did some prototype working, like the newly introduced Keinatch cabriolet. |
