Intro: To brave the countless dunes of Cear’ was the reason that Rog’rio Farias began to develop his Troller vehicles. In 1997,
after expending a lot of effort and about USD 1 million, he supplied the first batch of prototypes to selected test driver. Thanks to another USD 9 million put up by a new partner, M’rio Araripe, the Model T4 Troller began to be assembled late
in 1998, incorporating the improvements suggested by the drivers. The axles came from the Grand Cherokee; the hydraulic steering, from the Omega; the gearbox, from the Ford Mustang; the motor, from the Volkswagen Santana. The body is in fiberglass.
From 2002 locally produced MWM Turbo-Diesel engines are being used in the T4. A new pick-up truck, called the Pantanal was unveiled at the 2004 Sao Paolo Autosalon. |
