Intro: Blackjack Cars was formed by Richard Oakes in 1996. As one of the UK's most revered specialist car designers (with the Nova, GTM Libra and Midas Gold just a few of his better known designs) this is one company you have to take seriously. Apart from a brief spell marketing the original Nova back in the Seventies, the Avion is the only design that he's felt happy to market himself. As a one-man band he operates from a tiny industrial unit in Cornwall selling around 15 cars each year - all of which are in component form. Build it yourself for around £5000GBP. |
