Intro: In 1995 the Korean Hyundai company as part of its global expansion initiative set up an assembly plant in Turkey with the help of the local Kibar holding, which manufactures aluminium and galvanized steel products and has interests in lots of other companies.
The plant was inaugurated in 1997 with an annual manufacturing capacity of 120.000 passenger cars. Most of them are destined for European export markets. |
