Intro: This MG TD replica started its life in Australia back in 1986. Through various owners the original company wasn't able to produce sufficient number of cars.
The situation improved when a couple of Malaysian businessmen took a controlling interest and established a new company in their homeland.
Assembly work is carried out by Automotive Conversion Engineering Sdn Bhd . Around 80 cars were produced in 2000.
With exports in the pipeline to Singapore, New Zealand. Hong Kong, South Africa, Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland and other Commonwealth countries, production is expected to increase to 400 cars by the end of 2002. |
