Valter Teppan, the owner of the company visited England in 1999 and soon fancied the idea of a Lotus 7-type kit car.
They took over the drawings for the Locost car and completed the first prototype in 2000. Today there are 19 finished ESTfields in Estonia, 15 registered in their homeland, two cars in Sweden and orders for at least 30 more.
It takes 80 hours to complete a tailor-made vehicle. There's even a racing car version.
Teppan's dream is to open an international school for racecar drivers and so far he has obtained part of an unused former Soviet military airbase.
