Intro: Toyota's first Indian plant was established on the 6th of October, 1997. It is a joint venture between Kirloskar Group and Toyota Motor Corp.
The plant which is located 40 km from Bangalore was overhauled during 2004. Now capacity stands at 60,000 units per annum.
New Innova MPV, part of Toyota's IMV program was launched in February 2005 with 65 per cent local content. |
