Intro: The plant located in Porto Real (Rio de Janeiro State) was built in the record time of two years. The Citro’n Xsara Picasso and the Peugeot 206 are the first vehicles to be
produced at Porto Real, which has annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles in three shifts. It comprises three main shops for the body-in-white, paint and final
assembly processes. A mechanical components plant will be added at a later date.
