Intro: There are not too many automobile builders in Kenya. AVA which is controlled by the Marshalls Group has been assembling Peugeot products for decades now. Their biggest hit was the 504 which went out of production only in 2002.
In addition to Peugeot, contract assembly of Toyota automobiles is also being carried out. Toyota production was 1135 units in 2003, mainly commercial vehicles. |
