Intro: Although Peugeot arrived to the country in 1957 it took almost two decades to create a local assembly unit.
In 1972 Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Ltd (PAN) was established and the first Nigerian Peugeot was completed three years later.
In 2003 it seemed that the plant will be closed down after a deal to supply 900 luxury cars to the All Africa Games went up in smokes. But PAN is here to stay assembling mainly the 504 and the 406. |
