Info: In October 1998 (2001 facelift), the Japanese classification of the minivehicle was revised and the size allowance was expanded to make it safer. Since then, automakers must reduce the overall vehicle weight in order to add safety equipment to the body. To reduce the weight, Suzuki adopted a ’one gram per one part’ program for the development of Kei. This is Suzuki’s first new model after the launch of the revised classification.
