Toyota Motor Co. has issued the following press release:
Tokyo’TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC), HINO MOTORS, LTD. (Hino), and DAIHATSU MOTOR CO., LTD. (Daihatsu) announced that they will focus on environmentally friendly automotive technologies, mobility equality and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) at their joint booth at the 36th Tokyo Motor Show’Commercial Vehicles (2002) which will open its doors at the end of October.
Through 23 concepts, 28 production vehicles and various technology-related displays at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show, the three companies intend to provide a close-up look at their efforts to help ensure that the automobile fulfill its key role in this and the coming age.

Probox SNOW BOARDER
Based on the passenger version of the Probox, the Probox SNOW BOARDER is a customized RV with snowboarder specifications. It represents a proposal for stylish and fun uses. — Toyota's future concepts at the Tokyo Motorshow.
SUCCEED Bio Florist
Based on the SUCCEED, the SUCCEED Bio Florist is a customized business vehicle
suggestive of dream-filled business scenes and intended for use as a mobile florist shop. — Toyota at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
ALSV
The ALSV, short for ’Active-Life Support Vehicle’, is meant for easy use by anyone and features a passenger-side ’panoramic open door’ (featuring a front swing-open door, a rear sliding door and a door-integrated Center-pillar) for easy entry and exit. Both sides have an electrically operated sliding door, and the driver’s and all passenger seats swivel. Driving pleasure is enhanced by a new Friendmatic* with a sporty feel, made possible by integrating acceleration and braking controls into the steering wheel. This concept car uses a universal design, symbolic of a new relationship between people and automobiles. The ALSV places high priority on safety and the environment by way of advanced pedestrian safety features, J-ULEV emission levels, the use of bio-plastics and enhanced recyclability.
*A special power steering system that reduces the required steering force and enables persons with lower limb impairments to drive using their hands alone. — all-new Prius with hybrid system.
WISH
The WISH is a new-generation vehicle with sporty styling and performance and featuring third-row seats.
